Ford Canada
From 1997 to 2000 we designed a series of displays for Ford of Canada to provide a presence at the popular Chinese New Years festival, a hugely successful event held yearly in Vancouver and Toronto.
The first year saw two displays. One large main display boldly used classical Chinese colour and symbols to showcase Ford’s vehicles to the growing Chinese market. The second display converted a new model Ford Windstar into a figure of the Chinese zodiac. The Dragon car display proved to be a fantastic theatrical photostop for the festival and was continued through the following years to other symbols of the Zodiac.
